Well, it all started on August 27, 1968. In the town of Campbell, California. On that day at 7:30am, a 6lbs, 7oz baby boy was born to Arturo and Jean-Anne Aquino...the third of three boys. Well, little Matthew was a quiet child who, like many other young boys like himself, enjoyed running around naked. At one point, his older brother Tony locked him out of the house while he was doing his running-around-naked thing. Scarred for life...? Maybe. A bit wiser...? Sure.

After years of a fine California public school education, Matt wound up at picturesque (that's UC Berkeley!) where he majored in Physics. The fine Engineering Department at Berkeley then saw fit to weed out our young hero with some really tricky mid-term exams. It worked like a charm, and soon Matt was on a forced "leave-of-absence", during which he took a screenwriting class at a community college. A light went off, and Matt knew what he wanted to do. He returned to the hallowed halls of UC Berkeley, much to the suprise of his family and friends, and switched his major to film. He graduated a few years and many overly-intellectual discussion groups later in 1991 to the delight of many.

After college, Matt moved in with his brother's living room and found a job. He worked for the next 3 1/2 years as an audio mastering engineer at a company called Davkore. During this time, he also made some short films, worked at Cinequest: The San Jose film Festival, and learned to code html.

In December of 1995, he started woking as a video producer/director/etc. for his high school friend, Sean Frame who owned a small business called Frame by Frame Productions. Matt produces, directs and edits corporate and commercial videos there to this day. He also designed the company web page!

He lived in San Francisco from June 1996 to November 2001, sharing a place with Rob Myers, a cool film/web/multimedia-guy. They both rode the hi-tech, internet wave until the big crash.

In November 2001, he moved to lovely Albany, CA (just north of Berkeley) with his perpetual fiance, Julie. He continues to write his screenplays, play computer games and make films when he can.

He has constructed this web page in his spare time and hopes you enjoy it!
